Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards valued less than ten are said to be at their printed number meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they simply act as the two hands to be played).

Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand shall be the sum of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of 7 and five results in a score of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be given out depending on the foll. codes:

- If the player or banker has a value of eight or 9, the two players stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have funds left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie generally pays out at eight to one and sometimes nine to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Stay away from betting on a tie. However odds are far better – 9 to one vs. 8 to 1)

Played accurately, baccarat provides relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some well-known misunderstandings. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future happenings. Tracking of previous conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and almost certainly most successful technique is the 1-three-two-6 method. This process is employed to magnify earnings and reducing risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the third bet, add two to the 4 on the table for a value of six on the 4th gamble.

If you lose on the first bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
