Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards that are valued under ten are said to be at face value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they just act as the 2 hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand is the sum of the two cards, but the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 … five results in a tally of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card may be played depending on the following codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a score of eight or nine, the two gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has five or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart is used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful wagers on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have cash left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie by and large pay 8 to 1 but sometimes nine to 1. (This is a crazy bet as ties will happen less than 1 every ten hands. Run away from laying money on a tie. Nevertheless odds are radically better – nine to 1 vs. eight to 1)

Played correctly, baccarat provides fairly good odds, away from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future outcomes. Tracking of old conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and probably most successful strategy is the 1-three-two-6 method. This method is used to boost wins and minimizing risk.

Begin by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
