Punto Banco Practices and Plan

Punto Banco Rules

Baccarat chemin de fer is bet on with eight decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below ten are valued at their printed value and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not really people; they simply represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The total for every hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, but the first number is dropped. For instance, a hand of five and six has a score of one (five plus 6 = 11; ditch the first ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be given out using the rules below:

- If the gambler or bank gets a score of 8 or nine, the two players stay.

- If the gambler has five or lower, she takes a card. Players stays otherwise.

- If the player holds, the house takes a card on 5 or lower. If the player hits, a table is used to determine if the house holds or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The larger of the two totals wins. Winning wagers on the bank payout 19 to 20 (equal money less a 5 percent commission. Commission are recorded and cleared out when you quit the game so make sure you have cash left over just before you quit). Winning bets on the gambler pay 1:1. Winning bets for a tie typically pay eight to one but sometimes 9:1. (This is a bad wager as a tie occurs less than one in every 10 hands. Avoid putting money on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for nine to one versus 8 to 1)

Wagered on properly baccarat gives fairly good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Punto Banco Strategy

As with all games Baccarat has a handful of common misconceptions. One of which is similar to a false impression in roulette. The past is not a harbinger of future actions. Keeping score of previous outcomes at a table is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.

The most familiar and almost certainly the most acknowledged plan is the one-three-two-six method. This technique is used to maximize profits and minimizing losses.

Begin by wagering one chip. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the game table for a sum of three chips on the second bet. Should you win you will have six on the game table, take away 4 so you keep two on the third bet. Should you succeed on the 3rd round, put down two to the 4 on the game table for a sum total of six on the fourth bet.

Should you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the first bet followed by a loss on the 2nd creates a hit of 2. Wins on the initial 2 with a defeat on the 3rd provides you with a take of two. And wins on the initial three with a defeat on the fourth means you break even. Succeeding at all four wagers leaves you with twelve, a gain of ten. This means you will be able to give up the second bet five times for every favorable run of four rounds and in the end, experience no loss.
