Baccarat Banque Rules and Strategy

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat banque is played with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards below ten are worth face value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The score for every hand is the sum of the cards, although the beginning digit is ignored. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a score of 1 (5 plus 6 equals eleven; ditch the 1st ‘one’).

A additional card could be given based on the following rules:

- If the player or bank has a total of 8 or 9, both players stay.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he takes a card. Players stays otherwise.

- If the player holds, the bank hits on a total less than five. If the player hits, a chart is used to figure out if the bank stands or takes a card.

Punto Banco Odds

The higher of the two totals wins. Winning bets on the bank pay out 19:20 (even payout less a 5 percent rake. The Rake is kept track of and paid off when you depart the game so ensure you have cash left just before you head out). Winning wagers on the gambler pays one to one. Winning bets for a tie usually pays 8:1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs lower than 1 in every ten rounds. Be cautious of gambling on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for 9 to 1 versus 8 to 1)

Gambled on correctly baccarat offers pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Scheme

As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has a few common misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a misconception in roulette. The past is not a harbinger of future outcomes. Tracking past results at a table is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our paper needs.

The most established and likely the most acknowledged scheme is the one-three-two-six method. This tactic is employed to maximize winnings and minimizing losses.

Start by placing one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a sum total of 3 units on the second bet. If you win you will hold 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have two on the 3rd round. If you win the 3rd round, deposit two to the four on the game table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you lose on the 1st round, you take a hit of one. A win on the 1st bet followed by a hit on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the initial 2 with a defeat on the third provides you with a gain of two. And success on the 1st three with a loss on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning all four wagers leaves you with twelve, a gain of ten. This means you can squander the 2nd bet five instances for each successful run of four rounds and still balance the books.
