Punto Banco Regulations and Strategy

Baccarat Codes

Baccarat is played with 8 decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards valued less than ten are counted at their printed number while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand is the sum of the 2 cards, but the 1st number is dumped. For instance, a hand of 5 and 6 has a total of one (5 plus six equals eleven; drop the initial ‘one’).

A additional card may be given out depending on the following rules:

- If the player or bank gets a score of 8 or nine, both players stay.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, he takes a card. Players stays otherwise.

- If the gambler stays, the bank takes a card on a total less than five. If the player hits, a chart is employed to see if the bank holds or takes a card.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two hands wins. Winning bets on the bank pay out nineteen to Twenty (equal cash less a 5% rake. The Rake is recorded and cleared out when you quit the table so be sure to still have money left just before you quit). Winning bets on the player pays out at 1 to 1. Winning wagers for a tie usually pay eight to one but occasionally 9:1. (This is a bad bet as a tie occurs lower than 1 in every ten hands. Be wary of betting on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly better for 9:1 vs. eight to one)

Bet on properly baccarat provides pretty good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Banque Method

As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has a handful of accepted misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a myth in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of events about to happen. Tracking past results on a chart is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our stationary desires.

The most established and likely the most successful strategy is the 1-3-2-6 plan. This method is used to pump up profits and limit losses.

Start by placing one chip. If you succeed, add one more to the two on the table for a sum total of three chips on the second bet. Should you win you will hold 6 on the game table, take away 4 so you are left with 2 on the 3rd wager. If you succeed on the third round, add two on the 4 on the game table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth bet.

Should you don’t win on the first round, you take a loss of 1. A win on the initial wager followed by a loss on the second creates a loss of two. Success on the first two with a defeat on the third gives you with a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a hit on the fourth means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all four wagers leaves you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you can squander the second bet five times for each favorable run of four bets and in the end, break even.
