Punto Banco Rules and Method

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Standards

Baccarat chemin de fer is bet on with 8 decks in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are valued at face value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is one. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The total for every hand is the sum of the cards, although the first digit is dumped. For instance, a hand of 5 and 6 has a value of one (5 plus 6 equals 11; ignore the initial ‘1′).

A additional card may be given depending on the rules below:

- If the gambler or banker achieves a total of 8 or nine, both players hold.

- If the player has less than 5, he takes a card. Players otherwise hold.

- If the player stays, the bank takes a card on a value lower than 5. If the player takes a card, a chart is used to determine if the house stands or takes a card.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds

The higher of the two totals wins. Winning bets on the house pay out 19:20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. The Rake is kept track of and paid off once you depart the table so ensure you still have cash left just before you quit). Winning wagers on the gambler pays out at 1:1. Winning wagers for a tie usually pays out at 8 to 1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is a poor wager as ties happen lower than one in every ten hands. Be wary of wagering on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly better for 9:1 vs. eight to one)

Gambled on correctly baccarat provides generally good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Punto Banco Method

As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has some general myths. One of which is similar to a false impression in roulette. The past is not an indicator of future events. Recording past outcomes on a page of paper is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our stationary desires.

The most accepted and probably the most successful scheme is the one, three, two, six tactic. This method is deployed to maximize earnings and minimizing risk.

Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the table for a sum of three chips on the second bet. If you win you will now have six on the table, remove 4 so you keep two on the third bet. Should you succeed on the third wager, put down 2 to the 4 on the game table for a grand total of six on the 4th round.

Should you do not win on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by a loss on the 2nd causes a hit of 2. Success on the first two with a hit on the 3rd gives you with a take of 2. And wins on the initial three with a defeat on the 4th means you experience no loss. Winning at all 4 wagers leaves you with twelve, a take of ten. This means you can not win on the 2nd wager 5 instances for each favorable streak of 4 rounds and in the end, break even.
