Punto Banco Standards
Punto banco is played with 8 decks in a dealing shoe. Cards under ten are worth their printed value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t really people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).
Two cards are given to both the ‘banker’ and ‘gambler’. The value for every hand is the sum of the cards, but the first number is dumped. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a score of one (5 plus 6 equals eleven; ditch the initial ‘1′).
A third card will be dealt using the following rules:
- If the player or banker achieves a score of eight or nine, the two players hold.
- If the gambler has less than five, she hits. Players holds otherwise.
- If the gambler stands, the house hits on five or lower. If the player takes a card, a table is used to determine if the bank holds or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The larger of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the house payout 19 to 20 (even money less a five percent commission. Commission are recorded and cleared out when you quit the table so ensure you have money left over before you depart). Winning wagers on the player pays one to one. Winning bets for tie frequently pay 8 to 1 but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is a bad wager as ties happen lower than 1 in every ten rounds. Be wary of wagering on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9:1 versus eight to one)
Played correctly baccarat provides pretty good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Chemin de Fer Method
As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has quite a few established false impressions. One of which is similar to a myth in roulette. The past isn’t an indicator of events about to happen. Tracking previous results on a chart is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our paper desires.
The most accepted and possibly the most accomplished scheme is the one-three-two-six tactic. This method is employed to build up winnings and minimizing losses.
Begin by placing 1 dollar. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the table for a sum total of 3 dollars on the second bet. Should you win you will retain 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you are left with two on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd round, add 2 to the four on the table for a grand total of six on the 4th round.
If you lose on the first wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first wager followed by a hit on the second causes a hit of 2. Success on the initial 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a take of 2. And wins on the 1st 3 with a loss on the 4th means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all 4 bets gives you with 12, a take of ten. This means you can not win on the second bet five times for each favorable run of 4 bets and in the end, are even.
