Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued less than ten are valued at their printed value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they only portray the two hands to be played).
Two hands of 2 cards shall then be given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the initial digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven and 5 results in a score of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card can be given out depending on the following regulations:
- If the bettor or banker has a value of 8 or nine, then both gamblers stand.
- If the player has five or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the player hits, a chart is used to determine if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the two scores is the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even odds less a five % commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so ensure you have funds left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie normally pay out eight to one but on occasion nine to one. (This is a terrible wager as ties occur less than one every 10 hands. be cautious of wagering on a tie. Nonetheless odds are exceedingly better – 9 to 1 vs. eight to 1)
Played correctly, baccarat offers relatively good odds, away from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with all games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is in no way a predictor of future happenings. Keeping track of previous results on a chart is definitely a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and probably most successful strategy is the one-3-two-six method. This process is used to amplify payout and reducing risk.
Begin by gambling one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a total of six on the fourth gamble.
If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Thus you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
