Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are of a value less than 10 are counted at their printed value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they simply portray the two hands to be played).

Two hands of 2 cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for any hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of seven and five gives a total score of two (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card may be given depending on the foll. codes:

- If the gambler or banker has a tally of 8 or nine, both gamblers stand.

- If the player has five or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious wagers on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have cash left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie generally pay 8 to one and on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties happen lower than 1 every ten hands. Stay away from putting money on a tie. Even so odds are considerably better – nine to 1 versus 8 to one)

When played properly, baccarat presents fairly decent odds, apart from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some established myths. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is surely not an actual indicator of future happenings. Keeping track of prior results on a chart is simply a total waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and probably most successful technique is the 1-3-2-6 concept. This technique is used to increase profits and reducing risk.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have two on the third wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
