Baccarat Policies
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under ten are of face value and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they purely depict the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for every hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of 7 and five will have a total of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card could be given out depending on the following codes:
- If the bettor or banker has a value of eight or nine, both bettors stand.
- If the player has 5 or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the two scores is the winner. Successful bets on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even money less a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have dollars remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie usually pays out at 8 to one but sometimes 9 to 1. (This is an awful bet as ties occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. Avoid placing bets on a tie. Nevertheless odds are considerably better – 9 to 1 versus 8 to one)
Played smartly, baccarat offers pretty good odds, apart from the tie wager obviously.
Baccarat Strategy
As with most games, Baccarat has some established myths. 1 of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future results. Tracking of prior outcomes on a chart is for sure a waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most accepted and possibly most successful technique is the one-three-2-6 concept. This tactic is used to accentuate earnings and controlling risk.
Begin by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth gamble.
If you lose on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
