Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are of a value less than 10 are said to be at their printed value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they merely act as the 2 hands to be dealt).
2 hands of two cards will now be given to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for each hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the very first digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of seven … five gives a value of two (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card might be dealt depending on the foll. codes:
- If the player or banker has a total of eight or nine, then both bettors stand.
- If the gambler has five or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay out 19 to twenty (even odds minus a five % commission. Commission is kept track of and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have cash still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pays eight to one and occasionally nine to one. (This is a crazy gamble as ties will occur less than one every ten hands. Avoid laying money on a tie. Regardless odds are somewhat better – nine to 1 versus eight to one)
Played properly, baccarat provides fairly decent odds, apart from the tie wager ofcourse.
Baccarat Tactics
As with many games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. One of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not a predictor of future happenings. Keeping track of previous outcomes on a chart is a complete waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most popular and possibly most successful tactic is the one-3-two-six scheme. This schema is deployed to maximize profits and limiting risk.
start by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the third gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth wager.
If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Winning all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. This means that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
