Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are give a value of their printed number whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they purely represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for each hand shall be the grand total of the two cards, but the first digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of 7 and 5 has a total of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card could be dealt depending on the following standards:

- If the player or banker has a total score of 8 or nine, then both players stand.

- If the player has five or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a chart might be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores is the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay at 19 to 20 (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have dollars remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie by and large pays out at eight to one but on occasion nine to 1. (This is not a good gamble as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Stay away from putting money on a tie. Nevertheless odds are far better – 9 to one vs. eight to one)

Played correctly, baccarat offers fairly good odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future events. Keeping track of past conclusions on a chart is a total waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and possibly most successful technique is the one-three-2-6 concept. This plan is deployed to maximize successes and cutting back risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have two on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth gamble.

If you lose on the first wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
