Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards than are of a value less than ten are give a value of face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they strictly portray the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand is the grand total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of 7 as well as 5 results in a total score of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be given depending on the foll. standards:

- If the bettor or banker has a score of 8 or 9, the two players stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart shall be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even money minus a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have cash remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie commonly pays out at eight to 1 and on occasion nine to one. (This is not a good wager as ties occur lower than one every 10 hands. Stay away from betting on a tie. Even so odds are exceedingly better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to one)

Played properly, baccarat offers fairly good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. One of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an indicator of future events. Staying abreast of prior results on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and almost certainly most successful strategy is the one-three-2-six technique. This process is employed to boost wins and reducing risk.

Begin by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a grand total of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
