Baccarat Rules

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards valued less than 10 are counted at their printed number while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they merely portray the two hands to be given out).

Two hands of two cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand will be the sum of the two cards, but the initial digit is removed. For eg, a hand of 7 as well as 5 gives a tally of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card may be played depending on the following rules:

- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or 9, the two gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores is the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie typically pay eight to 1 but on occasion 9 to one. (This is a bad bet as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Avoid wagering on a tie. Regardless odds are certainly better – nine to one vs. 8 to one)

When done correctly, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, aside from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with every games, Baccarat has some established myths. 1 of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually a predictor of future outcomes. Staying abreast of last conclusions on a chart is for sure a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most common and possibly most successful tactic is the 1-three-2-six scheme. This technique is deployed to build up payouts and lowering risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a value of six on the fourth bet.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. A win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
