Baccarat Chemin de Fer Codes
Baccarat chemin de fer is played with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards valued less than ten are valued at their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The value for every hand is the sum total of the cards, although the beginning digit is discarded. For example, a hand of five and 6 has a value of one (5 plus 6 equals eleven; drop the initial ‘one’).
A additional card may be given based on the rules below:
- If the player or banker achieves a total of 8 or nine, the two players stay.
- If the player has five or lower, he hits. Players otherwise stand.
- If the player stays, the banker hits on a total less than five. If the gambler takes a card, a table is employed to determine if the banker stays or takes a card.
Baccarat Odds
The better of the two hands wins. Winning wagers on the banker payout 19 to 20 (even payout minus a 5 percent commission. The Rake is kept track of and paid off when you leave the game so be sure to have money left over before you depart). Winning wagers on the player pay 1 to 1. Winning wagers for a tie usually pay eight to one but on occasion 9:1. (This is a bad bet as ties occur less than 1 in every 10 rounds. Be wary of putting money on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for 9:1 vs. 8:1)
Wagered on properly punto banco gives fairly good odds, apart from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Banque Strategy
As with all games baccarat banque has some common misconceptions. One of which is close to a misconception in roulette. The past is not a fore-teller of future events. Keeping score of previous results on a chart is a poor use of paper and an affront to the tree that gave its life for our paper needs.
The most common and definitely the most acknowledged scheme is the one, three, two, six technique. This method is used to maximize winnings and limit risk.
Start by betting 1 dollar. If you succeed, add another to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 chips on the second bet. If you succeed you will hold 6 on the game table, subtract four so you keep two on the 3rd round. If you succeed on the third bet, put down 2 to the four on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth round.
Should you do not win on the first round, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the 1st bet followed by a hit on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Wins on the initial 2 with a loss on the 3rd provides you with a profit of 2. And wins on the 1st three with a hit on the fourth means you break even. Winning all four wagers leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means you are able to lose the second round five times for every favorable streak of 4 bets and in the end, experience no loss.
