Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are valued under 10 are of their printed number whereas 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they merely represent the 2 hands to be dealt).
Two hands of 2 cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of 7 and 5 has a score of two (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card might be given out depending on the following practices:
- If the bettor or banker has a total score of eight or nine, then both bettors stand.
- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart is used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even money less a 5 percent commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have $$$$$ remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie generally pay out eight to 1 and occasionally nine to one. (This is a bad gamble as ties occur less than one every ten hands. Stay away from betting on a tie. Even so odds are remarkably better – nine to 1 versus 8 to 1)
Played properly, baccarat provides generally decent odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. 1 of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions. Monitoring of prior conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most commonly used and possibly most successful technique is the one-three-2-six scheme. This technique is employed to pump up wins and controlling risk.
start by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove four so you have two on the third bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth bet.
If you lose on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
