Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under ten are worth their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they only represent the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand is the total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven as well as five will have a total score of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be given out depending on the foll. rules:

- If the gambler or banker has a tally of eight or 9, then both gamblers stand.

- If the player has 5 or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so be sure to have cash still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie typically pay 8 to one but occasionally nine to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. be cautious of wagering on a tie. Still, odds are greatly better – nine to 1 versus 8 to one)

Played effectively, baccarat offers fairly good odds, apart from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with every games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is very similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way a predictor of future actions. Tracking of last conclusions on a chart is simply a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and possibly most successful method is the one-three-two-6 concept. This tactic is used to accentuate payout and cutting back risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of six on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. This means you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
